Hi, Suzan, thanks so much for purchasing my cookbook. Please keep me posted on how things go for you. Sounds like you have a good doctor. troubleshooting for the Thyroid can be challenging because stress also causes the thyroid to be off as well as deficiency in Vitamin D and magnesium or excessive amount of mercury, just to name a few. Also eating foods with goitrogens also doesn't help the thyroid. Even on a restrictive diet, losing weight is very hard when one has hypothyroid disease. You also you should increase your work out to six days per week for a minimum of 30 minutes. Please do keep me posted!

I have not been diagnosed with a thyroid disorder/disease but I have just about all the signs of a low functioning thyroid. (How is this possible?) I have seen my physician and the blood work done shows that I am within normal range. I do have joint pain in my hands and sometimes feet. I was advised to avoid sugar, dairy, wheat and soy. By the way, I am primarily a vegetarian and have been for about 13 years. I eat fish occassionally. I just bought your cookbook online and I can't wait to receive it. I am struggling to lose 25 lbs. and keep it off. I am hoping that your cookbook with help me on my journey toward enjoying better health.
