Rhonda’s Cooking

I Made It!

Ni Hao (hello in Chinese), I am blogging from Beijing, China–yeah, that’s right, I am vacationing in China.  We arrived at the airport around 9:30pm and our tour guide, David met us there and directed us to the bus.  Once we got to the hotel, Dr. & Minister Eagan met us there to deliver the keys and any passdowns that we may I have missed. During the passdowns we learned that we must change our dollars to Yuan (chinese money) because many of the vendors didn’t take American Express credit cards or traveler’s check.  Since rates change daily, it is hard to tell you the exact exchange rate, but when we were there, $1 = 7.43 yuan.

Since it was so late, we stayed in to get rest so that we can start our first day of touring fully rested.
